Parties to the booking
When you book a partner car park, the parking contract is between you and the car park operator, whose name is shown on the car park page and in your confirmation. Parkz acts as an intermediary: it presents the offer, collects payment on the operator's behalf and sends the operator your booking details.
These conditions sit alongside the car park's own rules (opening hours, height limit, site regulations), which prevail on how the car park is used.
How to book
- Choose the airport, entry and exit dates and times, and the car park.
- Enter your name, e-mail, phone, number plate and, if you like, the car model and flight number.
- Check the summary with the total price and accept these conditions.
- Pay by card or another available method. Your booking is confirmed when you receive the confirmation e-mail with your PKZ reference.
Check your details before paying, especially the number plate: many car parks open the barrier by automatic plate recognition.
Price and payment
The price is the one shown in the summary before payment, for the period you chose, including VAT and in the car park's currency (euros in Portugal and Spain, reais in Brazil). There are no hidden charges: any service fee is shown separately before you pay.
Payments are processed by Stripe, encrypted and with strong customer authentication (3-D Secure) when your bank asks for it. Parkz never sees or stores your full card details.
The receipt or invoice is issued by whoever the law requires (the operator or Parkz) and sent to the e-mail you gave.
Car parks without online booking
Some car parks cannot be booked yet. If you complete checkout for one of them, no booking is made and nothing is charged: we record your request, tell you there is no online availability yet, and may contact you if the car park starts taking bookings. At these car parks you pay the operator directly, at their prices.
On the day: arrival, exit and extra time
Arrive within your booked period, with your booking reference and the vehicle with the plate you entered. Follow the access instructions in your confirmation e-mail.
If you leave after the booked time, the car park may charge the extra time at its public tariff. Arriving later or leaving earlier does not entitle you to a refund for unused time.
The operator may refuse vehicles above the stated size limits, leaking fluids or not roadworthy.
Changes and cancellation
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your entry time for a full refund, unless the car park page shows a more favourable condition before you pay. After that, or if you do not show up, the booking is non-refundable.
To change dates or cancel, write to [email protected] with your PKZ reference. Changes depend on availability and may change the price.
Refunds go back to the original payment method within 14 days of cancellation.
Right of withdrawal
For distance purchases, consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason (Decree-Law 24/2014 in Portugal and Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 in Spain). In Brazil, article 49 of the Consumer Protection Code gives 7 days.
Because parking is provided on a date you choose, when you book you expressly ask us to start the service on that date. You can withdraw until your parking starts and get a full refund; once it has started, you only pay for the period already used. This right is never affected by the cancellation policy above, which is in addition to it.
Cancellation by the car park or by Parkz
If the operator cannot honour your booking (for example, closure or no space), we tell you as soon as we know and, as you prefer, refund the full amount paid or offer an equivalent alternative car park.
We may cancel bookings showing signs of fraud or made with false details, refunding the amount paid.
Damage, theft and complaints about the car park
Looking after your vehicle and the car park's services (shuttle, washing, charging) are the operator's responsibility, under its regulations and insurance. Before leaving the car park, check your vehicle and report any damage to the operator on the spot.
You can also contact us at [email protected]: we will help pass on your complaint and get an answer from the operator.
Governing law
These conditions are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. See the legal notice for complaints and alternative dispute resolution.
